• Osborne Legs Featured on a Gorgeous Island

BeforeOur friend Rosalie recently updated her kitchen island to add some extra sitting space. Rosalie was going to renovate her kitchen and add some new flooring and counter tops. In the process, she added an extension to her bar so that she can now have 5 people sitting there rather than just 2!

Once she updated her flooring, they flipped their island around to add extra room between their appliances so that they use the length of their kitchen rather than the width. They then added some steel inside the island cabinets to help support the granite a little better and to make sure that the over hang is more secure. This beautiful, massive island needs as much help as it can get so that it doesn’t get damaged in any way!

Almost ThereThey then added a piece of particle board to the end and attached Osborne legs to it to support it even more! Rosalie chose our Jackson Island Leg to make customize her island to fit her needs. This is one of the best options for a new island like this since you can’t screw your legs directly into your granite counter tops. You can see the legs and under-granite table top for extra support that they used given the size of the extension. Now they have a beautiful new kitchen and wonderful place to sit for guests. “The 2 seat island has become a 5 seat island…we are on the hunt for 3 nice swivel stools to add along the front,” says Rosalie. “Everyone loves it and our kitchen is much more user friendly!” We think her new kitchen island looks absolutely beautiful and we love the extra curvature that it has at the end!
