• Kitchen Remodel with Island Post Focal Point

Kitchen RemodelWelcome to 2014! The New Year is upon us and it’s time for many of us to be thinking about our next big remodel project. The New year is a great time for re-grouping and planning out a strategy for home improvement, DIY projects, renovations, and remodels. One of the most popular rooms at the top of the remodel list is the kitchen. The kitchen is the heart beat of the home, providing a welcoming atmosphere and a true focal point for the home. From simple upgrades to full renovations, kitchen projects can seem ominous. But that’s where Osborne comes in. We would love to assist you with your project, no matter how big or small. With unfinished wood components you can add a custom look and feel to your home that you can finish to match current cabinetry. The possibilities are endless, and the results are stunning.

DIY Kitchen RemodelToday, I would like to feature a kitchen design by Marlene S. Marlene chose to use Osborne island posts as the focal point for the kitchen design. The island legs chosen for this project were the Wilmington Island Posts (Part #1443). This classic leg style is compatible with a wide variety of kitchen styles and designs, making it a perfect fit for Marlene’s project. This post is also available in a variety of heights (34 1/2, 35 1/2, and 40 1/2 inch heights), as well as a variety of widths (3 1/2″, 4″, 5″, 6″, and 8″). The posts in this project were finished to match the white cabinetry of the kitchen for a perfectly cohesive look. Beautiful work, Marlene!

And did you notice the corbels on the range hood? The Venice Classic Corbel (Part #8005) adds a delicate contrast with its hand carved features. The final kitchen turned out beautifully. Thank you so much for sharing your photos with us, Marlene. And enjoy your beautiful kitchen!

Are you planning a remodel, do it yourself project, or an aesthetic update for your home this New Year?
